Our intelligence partners
MI6 is part of the UK Intelligence Community, alongside MI5, also known as the Security Service, and GCHQ. As you might expect, we work closely together on strategies, operations and events, and share technical and human resources where we can.
We also work closely with liaison partners internationally. The Five Eyes community (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States) is a key intelligence partnership, and we work with partners where we have shared interests and are working towards shared goals.

MI5 exists to protect the UK from a range of national security threats, primarily terrorism and threats posed by states. They carry out investigations by obtaining, analysing and assessing intelligence, and work to disrupt these threats.
GCHQ
GCHQ is a world-leading intelligence, cyber and security agency with a mission to help keep the UK safe. GCHQ use cutting-edge technology, technical ingenuity and wide-ranging partnerships to identify, analyse and disrupt threats to the UK.
HMGCC
We partner with HMGCC, who help develop cutting-edge tech for our operations. Their experts bridge the gap between our needs and innovative solutions. By collaborating with industry and academia, HMGCC drives innovation, economic growth and helps keep the UK safe from evolving national security threats.
